The Ventilation Light
The Ventilation Light is a device, which provides information about the state and quality of the indoor air and the necessity to ventilate. It was developed and tested within the framework of a research project and funded by the Federal Ministry of Economy and the Bremer Energiekonsens GmbH. The research project was carried out in cooperation with the bremer energie institiut (Bremen Energy Institute) and the Bremer Umweltinstitut (Bremen Environmental Institute).
The Ventilation Light
- saves energy and helps prevent humidity damages in the building.
- guarantees the hygiene and indoor air quality
- prevents conflicts between tenants and landlords
- is inexpensive and can be employed throughout the housing sector
- does not require any installation and can be readily utilized by the user.
- is scientifically tested
It makes the following notifications
- open window
- close window
Considering measurements and criteria for
- indoor air quality
- humidity
- temperature
Functions of the Ventilation Light (Model 1)
- LUQAS and HT Sensors for easier reproduction reliability
- up to 6 week data record (under a 1 minute measurement interval) , separate reports for each sensor, communication with the server
- evaluation of the sensor signals according to scientific standards
Experience
- one´s own nose cannot be fully substituted, as detecting odors is not in the competence of the sensors
- LUQAS signals cannot be interpreted as definite
- the humidity and the humidity flows are the key variables
- the change of a signal is usually more important than the absolute value
